Enviral Tech provides pathogen surface testing for infection control in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, schools and businesses.
These pathogens include SARS-CoV-2 and influenza. Most SARS-CoV-2 infections do not develop symptoms within the first 2 weeks of infection, this can lead to an unknown spread of the virus. Since asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic individuals are the main vector of infections, surface testing is a reliable safety precaution to implement in your cleaning procedure.
Our Kits use CDC- and FDA-approved methods to detect and quantify influenza & SARS-CoV-2 on high-touch, high-traffic surfaces and in air samples.
Our comprehensive workflow allows for the detection of pathogens through environmental specimens by RNA extraction followed by Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction. Our reaction targets the N1 & (insert the other target) allowing for the detection of Influenza & SARS-CoV-2.
The specimens are tested together as a pool. If the specimen pool is positive the samples will be individually tested before the report is given out.
